Guys don’t like to say that they are short, and usually add an inch to their height when asked how tall they are. At Robbie Brown, we say, “it’s what’s inside that counts”, so do don’t worry about your height, and just be your amazing self. In the mean time, what is it about being short, that causes this, shall we say diminutive point of view. If the maxim, good things come in small packages, the sentiment should be the opposite.
Let’s start with the “Napoleonic complex, a theorized condition occurring in people of short stature. “It is characterized by overly-aggressive or domineering social behavior, and carries the implication that such behaviour is compensatory for the subject’s stature”. Some say, a lack of height (although just perspective), is transferred to a need to show more confidence, which leads shorter people to actually achieve more. This overcompensation, perhaps part of an ego defense personal process, explains why shorter people tend to be more successful.
When it comes to dressing, we think shorter men dress better and are more particular about fit, which is why they typically look so well put together. It is the reason, why at Robbie Brown, we put so much effort into making sure our fashion is always current, and that our fit is nothing short of amazing.
